Money Path checkup

Your five numbers and your next step on the Money Path, in two minutes.

Compound growth

See how a starting sum and a monthly habit grow. Seven percent is a common assumption for a global stock fund before inflation; five percent after.

Freedom number

How much you need invested so work becomes optional, and how long it takes at your current pace.

Runway

Your emergency fund, worked out properly: a year of expenses, minus the income you would still have if you lost your job today.

Fee drag

A fee that looks small takes a large share of what you end with. Compare two funds or an advisor against an index fund.

Wealth Ladder

Which of the six levels you are on, and what to focus on there. The levels and their names are Nick Maggiulli's, from The Wealth Ladder (2025); read more on our Wealth Ladder page.

These calculators are simplified models for education. They ignore taxes unless stated, and real returns vary year to year. Use them to understand the shape of a decision, not to replace advice on your own situation.
